  • Trouble Connecting?

      Internet Explorer is required to access KVS through the web. If you use a different web browser, try connecting using the Remote Desktop Client:


      - Windows XP:
      Click Start->
      All Programs->
      Accessories->
      Communications->Remote Desktop Connection

      - Windows Vista:
      Click Start Circle->
      All Programs->
      Accessories->Remote
      Desktop Connection

      - Mac/Off-Campus Users see below.

      Connection Information
      Computer Name= subboardi.sb2.buffalo.edu
      Username= ad\ubit_name

      If you still can't connect, call 645-2954 or email sbi-it@buffalo.edu.

  • Trouble Printing?


      Most local printers can be redirected for report printing in KVS. The most common causes that prevent redirection are:

      1) Printer driver is not installed on our server. Please send an email to sbi-it@buffalo.edu with the name of the printer.

      2) Printer is installed as a network printer. To redirect a network printer in Windows:

      - Open Control Panel ->Printers->Right Click Printer ->Properties ->Ports Tab ->Check "Enable Printer Pooling" ->Check LPT2 ->Click "OK"



      If you still can't print, call 645-2954 or email sbi-it@buffalo.edu

  • Mac Users


      - Download the Mac RDP Client
      - Double Click "Remote Desktop   Connection"
      -Computer Name= subboardi.sb2.buffalo.edu
      -Username= ad\ubit_name

  • Off-Campus Users

        VPN required for off-campus users
